SWEPCO is proud to continue its partnership with the KTBS 3/St. Jude Dream Home® Giveaway, supporting the lifesaving mission of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital® and the families it serves.
From the first shovel of dirt to the final touches inside the home, SWEPCO’s involvement spans every stage of the Dream Home journey. What begins as a construction site quickly becomes something much greater, a symbol of hope made possible by a community coming together.
2026 Ground Breaking Ceremony of the St. Jude Dream Home
“Being part of the Dream Home from the very beginning is what makes this partnership so meaningful,” said SWEPCO President and COO Brett Mattison. “From groundbreaking to move-in, we are proud to support a project that brings hope to families and helps advance the important work of St. Jude.”
SWEPCO’s support for the 2026 dream home includes a corporate sponsorship valued at $21,000, which features a direct donation of $15,000 to St. Jude. An additional $2,000 will be offered as a milestone prize to help encourage ticket sales and increase fundraising momentum.
The company also provides a $4,000 energy efficiency incentive to Rodgers Homes & Construction, helping offset the cost of incorporating modern, energy-efficient features into the home. These may include Heat Pumps, Heat Pump Water Heaters, Induction Cooking, and other technologies designed to improve comfort while reducing energy use.
“As the home comes together, we focus on making sure it works as well as it looks,” said Debra Miller, Energy Efficiency and Consumer Programs Manager. “These upgrades are not only part of this home, they also show customers practical ways to improve efficiency in their own homes.”
In addition to financial and technical support, SWEPCO employees play an active role throughout the campaign. From participating in events like the groundbreaking ceremony, to creating a professional time-lapse video to showcase construction, SWEPCO helps bring visibility and energy to the effort.
“There is something special about seeing the home progress from the ground up and knowing you played a role in it,” said SWEPCO Energy Efficiency and Consumer Programs Manager Debra Miller. “It connects our employees directly to the impact this partnership makes in people’s lives.”
The Dream Home Giveaway continues to make a lasting difference both locally and nationwide, helping ensure that families never receive a bill from St. Jude for treatment, travel, housing, or food.
SWEPCO’s involvement with the Dream Home campaign dates back to the very beginning, making it one of the earliest energy partners supporting this effort. Over the past seven years alone, the company has contributed more than $121,000 through sponsorships, incentives, and in-kind support.
