TEXARKANA, Texas, Dec. 20, 2021 – The American Electric Power Foundation recently awarded a total of $10,000 to the United Way of Greater Texarkana.
Grant dollars will support children’s enrollment in Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, an early childhood literacy program that provides newborns with a hardbound book every month up until the age of 5 in Bowie and Miller Counties.
“The AEP Foundation and SWEPCO believe investing in charitable initiatives is the cornerstone to providing brighter futures for our communities,” said SWEPCO External Affairs Manager Jennifer Harland. “We are proud to support this organization that makes such an impact in the region.”
